It amazes me that this is my final week in my second trimester...it has really flown by with lots of highlights...first kicks, baby hiccups, my "belly popped", nesting has kicked in, passed my exams, vacation to California, and a remodeled kitchen! It feels like we have so much to do and so little time. 3 more months will go by so quickly...tax season will be and already is all consuming, and Tyson's taking on an additional 3 classes on top of working 45 hours a week...we are the type to overcommit. But I feel like we are living with a time bomb and the ticking is very loud in my ear. There are so many things to do before the baby arrives...I want to bring him into a safe and homey environment, and our home needs some help. I guess it's the nesting instinct in me which has kicked in full swing... but the only problem is that after 11 hour days I'm so tired that there is hardly any time or energy to actually nest. Good thing I have a mom to bring me dinner and a husband that doesn't mind frozen meals.
It's amazing how much fun it is to clean appliances and unpack all our dishes in our new cabinets. I feel like it's a puzzle and when I finished each cabinet I would stand back and stare at my masterpiece. HaHa, sounds silly, but I'm really in love with the kitchen and the new space my cabinets have provided. I can't wait to fill the baby's cabinet with bottles and baby dishes...so exciting!
Well, bedtime is much earlier these days, and it's calling me now. This is the babies favorite time to be active...especially after the late night bathroom visits...I have a feeling he's going to be a little night owl!
