Good Bye 2nd Tri

It amazes me that this is my final week in my second trimester...it has really flown by with lots of highlights...first kicks, baby hiccups, my "belly popped", nesting has kicked in, passed my exams, vacation to California, and a remodeled kitchen! It feels like we have so much to do and so little time. 3 more months will go by so quickly...tax season will be and already is all consuming, and Tyson's taking on an additional 3 classes on top of working 45 hours a week...we are the type to overcommit. But I feel like we are living with a time bomb and the ticking is very loud in my ear. There are so many things to do before the baby arrives...I want to bring him into a safe and homey environment, and our home needs some help. I guess it's the nesting instinct in me which has kicked in full swing... but the only problem is that after 11 hour days I'm so tired that there is hardly any time or energy to actually nest. Good thing I have a mom to bring me dinner and a husband that doesn't mind frozen meals.

It's amazing how much fun it is to clean appliances and unpack all our dishes in our new cabinets. I feel like it's a puzzle and when I finished each cabinet I would stand back and stare at my masterpiece. HaHa, sounds silly, but I'm really in love with the kitchen and the new space my cabinets have provided. I can't wait to fill the baby's cabinet with bottles and baby dishes...so exciting!

Well, bedtime is much earlier these days, and it's calling me now. This is the babies favorite time to be active...especially after the late night bathroom visits...I have a feeling he's going to be a little night owl!

I'm back

My blog hiatus is over and I feel terrible for not documenting the last few weeks of my pregnancy. So much has happened, one of the hugest events being I passed all 4 sections of the CPA exam on the first try...after I got my results I disappeared from my laptop for awhile, unless it was to check out the bank account or the baby registry, I really didn't feel like sitting in front of the glowing screen. And just when I was ready to recommit myself, the harddrive fails...it was like losing an old friend...and I couldn't even entertain the idea of purchasing a new one...so much baby stuff to get and a savings to build. My amazing husband, who fixes everyone elses computer (and I mean everyone) couldn't fix mine. I was frustrated with him (which I blammed on the pregnancy hormones) but even more frustrated with my seemingly new (2 year old) laptop was no longer operating...and then 3 days later he fixed it. It was a miracle. So now I'm back to blogging and still have all my baby favorites saved on my internet. Yay! It was a close call but I'm so thankful!

Now for the baby news...our little boy is going to be an athlete...at just 21 weeks he started kicking me hard enough for his daddy to feel it on the outside. 23 weeks brought hiccups...I could stare at my belly popping up and down all day. I love each kick, although at 25 weeks he likes to put pressure on my colon...that is hard to love. My belly is getting rounder with each passing day, thankfully I'm ending my second trimester and being our final leg of this part of the journey. Each trimester has brought something different and unexpected...it's more amazing than I could have ever imagined!
